I can't imagine being patient enough to make one of these.
Glad to get it at the local thrift store for around $1.00.

Get outta town! Wow. I started one of those several years ago (five, maybe?!) and it's just sitting in a box... So sad that someone worked on it that hard and someone else basically just got rid of it like trash. Glad you rescued it.
I am totally in love with this quilting style as well, but have not tried it myself yet. I have an apron pattern from the 70's that has this type of quilted detail at the bottom. So cool. I've been meaning to try it out, but ah... day to day life always gets the better of me!

What a great find! I've always liked that style of quilting, but have never tried it.
